i took this photo graffiti alley in toronto. i photographed an old medical centre which was located in the alley. the angle that i was at when i took the photo was i was looking almost north to the medical centre. i took the photo because the angle that i was at it interested me and i like what was around it. the wires, cars and graffiti all around it. this was my second try, making my silk screen because the first time i left my silk screen in the class room and i didnt put it back into the darkroom. i wanted to make my tshirt orginal by: 1) putting it on a tank top because most people were doing tshirts 2) put it on a vertical angle instead of horiziontal. i want to thank rachel wolf for being my model.

mixed lighting with elena

the reason why i like this photo is because i like how elena is smiling in this picture. I like how  red and white lights hit her face and make it look more contrasty. To make this photo happen elena and i went into the dark room and got up right beside the red light and then shined the white light to the side of her face.  shutter speed- 1/50 and the aperature is 36

MONA RACHEL

  The Renaissance
The Renaissance also known as the Histroical Era. It was a cultural movement that spanned through the 14th to the 17th century. It began in Italy in the Late Middle Ages and later on spreaded through out Euorpe. Since it was a cultural movement, the era embranced  literature, science, art, religion, and politics. The Renaissacne also had a open minded to different types of learning but from classical sources,  such as the development of a linear perspective in painting.

 The Artisit

Leonardo Di Vinci born in April 15 1452 and he died in May 2, 1519. Di Vinci was an Italian Renaissance  painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanistand and a writer. Di Vinci is said to be a genius. Di Vinci is widely considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time and maybe the most diversely talented person ever to have lived.

The Painting
The Mona lisa is a half-length portrait of a seated woman,Lisa Del Giocondo. Del Giocondo’s facial expression is said to be either lifeless with no smile or it is also said that she has a small smile. Leonardo Da Vinci began painting the Mona Lisa in 1503 or 1504 in Florence, Italy. The Mona Lisa was lingered on for about four years and Da Vinci left it unfinished. Then Da Vinci then moved to France and continued to work on the Mona Lisa.  It took him three years to complete it and he finished right before he died in 1519.

i just like this photo because it makes me smile :)

the whole deal with painting with light :)

My inspiration to submitting this photo is earlier on this week I went up to my teacher and asked her what she thought of my photo. Orginally I was only going to paint my name with light and leave it at that. Then my photography teacher suggested that it would be a cool idea if she saw me in the picture and my name to the side. So I decided to take my techer's advice and do what she suggested.

studio lighting photo #3

this photo is perfect studio lighting, everything is completely clear and the backround goes well with elena's skin tone. Everything in this photo is clear and there is a perfect amount of contrast. I used the same Aperature and shutter speed as photo #2 but i just moved closure to elena's face to get the close up

studio lighting photo #2

I also like this photo because i believe that this is almost perfect studio lighting. Everything is pretty clear and i also like the contrast. I used and aperature of 3 and a shutter speed of 1/20

photo #1 aperature- 5.6 and shutter speed is 1/10

perfect studio lighting, photo #1

The reason why i like this photo is because, the lighting brings out elena's lips and hair. I also like how it looks like her hair is blended in with the lighting. I decided to do experiment with the lighting in this photo, because i wanted to see how it would look darker. I would call this an experitmental picture.

name done by creativity

I personally love the way I constructed my photo shop because I believe I used different techinques for each photo. Which made every photo different and unique in its own way. For example one photo was taken from underneath the letter I found, another photo was taken from over top of the letter, etc. I know I took most of my photos inside the school or on the property. There was no need to leave the school because each letter could be found in or outside of the school. I like my photo shop because its orginal, and I also like the way i used the photo shop to enchance and make photos more contrast(y) or rotate them.

paris through a lens

I absolutely adore this photo for many reasons. Reason 1 i love the fact that the reflection is coming off the lens and we can see it in the actual picture. Reason 2, the clarity of the photo is outstanding. Reason 3, the photo isnt just done of one specific object, the picture has the effiel tower and the person taking the picture. Making the picture look more strong and creative
